Ο Θύμιος ο Τσιάτσος κατάγεται από το χωριό Σταγιάδες και ήταν ο μουσικός του χωριού μας. Συμμετείχε στη Μάχη της Μερίτσας . 

Ήταν αυτοδίδακτος μουσικός και όχι μόνον. Ήταν βουσκός γουρουνιών και κάθε φορά που γινόνταν ένα γλέντι στο χωριό ο Θύμιος πήγαινε στην κοντύτερη πλαγιά και άκουγε τα τραγούδια και όπως λέει ο ίδιος τα μαγνητοφονούσε στο μυαλό του. Ένα πανηγύρι του επέτρεψε το αφεντικό του να παρεβρεθεί κι εκεί είδε το βιολί και το αποτύπωσε στο μυαλό του. Την άλλη μέρα, όπως αφηγείται ο ίδιος, έκοψε μια λεύκα και άρχισε να φτιάχνει το βιολί. Μόλις το ετοίμασε κατέβηκε νύχτα δυο ώρες δρόμο από όπου περνούσαν τηλεφωνικες γραμμές. Ανέβηκε στο στύλο έκοψε καλώδια κι έφτιαξε χορδές.  

Όταν του ζήτησα να μου πει δυο λόγια για τη Μάχη μου απάντησε: Μπορώ να σου απαντήσω με ένα τραγούδι της περιοχής μας σχετικό;

Μαγνητοσκόπησα το τραγούδι και το παρουσιάζω.

"Ωρε τι έχεις πουλί μου κόρακα
και σκούζεις και φωνάζεις
μην αδειψάς για αίματα
μην απεινάς για κρέας

Έβγα ψηλά στον Σμόλιγκα
Χάσια και Σαμαρίνα
να βρεις κορμιά Ιταλικά
γεμίσαν οι χαράδρες

Κι αν πας πιο πέρα στο Πρεμετή
Κλεισούρα, Τεπελένη
θα βρεις κορμιά Ελληνικά
βαλμένα αράδα αράδα

Τάχουν φραγμένα με κλαριά
μην πας και τα πειράξεις
πολλές μανούλες κλάψανε
γυναίκες για τους άνδρες

Παναθεμά σε Γερμανέ
Χίτλερ και Μουσολίνη
που κήρυξες τον πόλεμο
ενάντια στην Ελλάδα

Παν τα παιδιά στον πόλεμο
παν τα παληκαράκια
Πανάθεμάσε Γερμανέ
Χίτλερ και Μουσολίνι"
